2010 北邮英语演讲比赛

        On October 22, with the help of IET YMS in BUPT, Professor Andy held the English Speech Competition of BUPT/QM Joint Program. After the assessment of competitors’ speech and PPT, eight competitors stand out of the crowd. The competition contains prepared speech part and question-and-answer part. Competitors were asked to expound their opinions with the topic of how are sustainability and Environmental Concerns addressed in Mobile Communications Industry. During the competition, judges as well as audiences were shocked by the fluent spoken-English, nimble thought and skillful speech of every competitor.

 

        Finally, Anshuai Zhang, the competitor number eight, won the first prize and free trip to London. Meanwhile, another ticket was given to the president of IET YMS in BUPT, Jing Yang.

 

        This activity offers a stage to display themselves to those competitors. And most of all, it has a positive effect to create a good English-studying atmosphere, increase the interest in English-learning and improve the presentation skill of spoken-English for our students.

 

        9月22日晚，BUPT/QM/IET Joint Program 英语演讲比赛在北邮大扇形教室精彩上演，经过之前演讲稿和PPT的筛选，八名选手脱颖而出。复赛共分命题演讲、问题回答两个环节。选手以“How are sustainability and Environmental Concerns addressed in Mobile Communications Industry”为主题阐述自己的观点。在比赛过程中，每位选手都以熟练的英语、敏捷的思维、宽广的知识面、恰如其分的演讲技巧震撼了在场的评委和观众。现场高分不断，胜负难分。我院同学凭着其扎实的英语功底，流畅的行文，标准流利的口语，优雅的演讲风度，赢得评委老师们的一致好评和在场观众的阵阵掌声。

 

        最后八号选手张安帅脱颖而出，获得了去英国伦敦的免费旅行，同时iet北邮会长杨婧也获得了去英国的资格。　　　　

 

        本次活动为参赛选手提供了一个展示自我的舞台，对形成一个良好的英语学习氛围，调动同学们学习英语的积极性，提高他们的英语学习兴趣，锻炼英语口语表达能力，提高综合素质都产生了积极作用。
