During January 4 to January 8, 2011, Prof. Wan Wanggen, the chair of IET shanghai local network, and a group of 5 professors from Shanghai University attend a ComplexCity workshop, which is a Sino-France workshop among IET Shanghai local network, Shanghai University and University of Technology in France. In the workshop, Professors from Communication and Information engineering, Civil engineering, Management, Sociology discussed the science and technology problem of urban crisis.
On the afternoon of January 6, IET Shanghai delegation visited the Department of Urban system engineering in University of Technology Compiegne in France.
The President of UTC met the IET Shanghai delegation and brought the New year greetings to them. Both Chinese and French professors decided to hold an International Workshop on “Smart City” in Shanghai around the end of June 2011, and invite International scholars to take part in the ComplexCity research, in order to promote and enhance the research activities on Smart City in China.
