IET启动电子图书服务

        IET于2011年9月宣布正式开始提供电子图书服务。 IET电子图书涵盖21个专业学科覆盖所有工程技术关键领域,工程专业人员可以获得超过300多种图书。随着每年额外20多种图书的出版,国际研究人员、工程专业人员和学生将有机会获得IET以数字形式出版的书籍。这些技术和研究学术专著为工程技术人员提供了工程科技领域新兴课题的新视角和新发展。
 
        IET学术出版总监Daniel Smith表示:“IET的书籍已成为世界各地学术和专业机构图书管必不可少的组成部分。能够提供许多以电子形式出版的图书能够让现在和未来从事工程技术的人员更方便的获得他们需要的书籍。” 每本书可以按照章节购买,也可以购买全文。IET提供多种购书模式。
 
        IET提供的300多种电子图书可以通过搜索关键词、作者或标题获得,也可以单独搜索或同IET期刊和会议一起搜索。搜索可以按照章节进行,也可以按照整个书籍进行。“IET电子图书平台将使读者更容易准确地找到他们需要的书籍,不论是整个书,还是需要的章节。IET电子图书平台最重要的是让读者按照需求选择内容。” IET学术出版总监Daniel Smith表示

        The Institution of Engineering and Technology announces the arrival of IET e-Books
 
        The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community, announces the arrival of the IET e-Books. IET e-books bring professionals access to 300+ electronic titles across 21 specialists disciplines, covering all key areas of engineering and technology. With a further 20+ new titles released each year, international researchers, professionals and students will have access to IET Books published in digital form. These technical and research monographs provide individuals with new perspectives and developments in emerging subjects.
 
        “Our Books have become a must in the libraries of academic and professional institutions around the world,” says Daniel Smith, Head of Academic Publishing, the IET. “Being able to offer many in an electronic format will make them even more accessible now and for future generations.” Each book is available for purchase at the chapter level as well as the full text version. A variety of purchasing models are offered covering current and back lists. IET e-Books is available alongside IET Journals, conferences and seminars.
 
        The new collection of 300+ books is searchable by keyword, author, title and more. They can also be searched separately or together with all IET journals and conferences. Searches can be conducted at the book or chapter level.  “The new platform will make it easier for readers to find exactly what they are looking for - whether it’s the whole book or just a relevant portion. Most importantly, they will have options and content available on-demand,” says Daniel Smith, Head of Academic Publishing, the IET.
